Support Worker

Permanent / Full Time (37 hours weekly) + Bank support staff for various shifts & hours

Starting at £13.25 per hour

We Care Bespoke Ltd provide bespoke support for vulnerable children, young people, and adults throughout the Northeast of England.

We currently have 3 registered solo children homes which OFSTED rated as ‘Good’. We are committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share this dedication.

We are looking for individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of children and young people; to promote them to develop socially, emotionally, and behaviourally in a setting where they feel safe and cared for. To act as a positive role model and work closely with the young people to enable them to address their difficulties and achieve their maximum potential.

Support Worker, working out at 37 Hours a week 3x 12-hour shift, plus sleep in and additional overtime may be available.

Role and Responsibilities

• Support the child/young person to maintain daiy to day activities
• Ensure to maintain the child’s health, personal, emotional well being and safety throughout
• Support a child with sensory needs
• Support a child have fun/enjoyment while also achieving, developing and promoting integration within the community
• Adhere and support child plans to support behaviour where they may become dysregulated and displaying behaviour which may be challenging
• Maintain accurate and thorough records
• Complete any household chores during the night
• Complete thorough handovers
• Report any concerns in changes to a child/young person; health, behaviour, safeguarding concerns
• Reporting to the Senior, Deputy and Homes Manager
• Safeguard child and staff within the service

What we would like from you

• Understands and has experience in thorough record keeping
• High level and strong communication
• Ability to take direction
• NVQ 2 in Health and Social care (children), or equivalent.
• 12 months experience working with children.
• Have a UK Driving License and access to own vehicle.
